Voter Registration Events in the Community

Voter registration opportunities are advertised in the weekly newsletter and on our calendar. We hold registrations at the following Falls Church locations: The Kensington and Sunrise Retirement Homes, Smitty's Barbershop, Mary Riley Styles Public Library on National Voter Registration Day, and the Eden Center.  Volunteers must be members of LWV Falls Church and certified by the Virginia Department of Elections to register voters. Specific activities involved in planning a voter registration event include:

• Coordinate with the venue to identify dates for the voter registration event.

• Print needed materials.

• Recruit volunteers to assist; ensure they have taken the Voter Registration Training.

• Set up and take down space before and after the event

• Drop off completed forms at the Office of Voter Registration and Elections.
