The LWV Falls Church distributes New Resident Voter Information in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese to the City's 20+ multifamily buildings. We hand out Get Ready to Vote cards at the Falls Church City Public Schools Back to School Nights for all four of our K-12 schools. In addition, we create and publish a voters' guide online and in print in advance of each election. We provide our voters' guide to citizens at their the polling places on Election Day. Volunteers sign up for a shift to help distribute the cards and the voters' guides. This is always a fun and meaningful opportunity to make new League friends and provide voting and candidate information to citizens. Find more details on Voter Information Distribution Events here.

In 2025, the LWV Falls Church posted a six-page voters' guide on the national League's VOTE411.org website, published the guide in the Falls Church News-Press, and handed out more than 200 guides before the November election and at the polling places in an effort to help voters made informed choices.
The Vote411.org website, created by the League of Women Voters of the United States, serves as a comprehensive resource for voting and election information. Each election season, LWV Falls Church ensures the nationwide LWV election information database is updated with local candidate and issue profiles. If you enjoy working with technology, this is a great opportunity to contribute.
Specific activities involved in creating and publishing voters' guides include:
Develop questions for responses by candidates in each local race.
Coordinate with candidates to encourage their responses.
Publish candidate responses as received on VOTE411.org.
Work with a graphic designer to compose the content of the guide from VOTE411.org for print and online PDF distribution.
Print and distribute copies of the guide.
Publicize the guide through the Falls Church News Press and other local media outlets; post signs on community bulletin boards (for example, at the public library, the City Community Center, and local businesses), and on social media.
Coordinate volunteers to hand out copies of the printed guide at the polls on Election Day.
