Community Events

Information Drives in the Community

Information drive opportunities are advertised in the weekly newsletter and on our calendar. We hold information drives at the following Community events: the Women's History Walk, Memorial Day Parade and Festival, Civic Jam, Fall Festival and Taste of Falls Church, and the PTA Information Night.  The focus of these events is to recruit new members, seek donations, inform the public of League activities, and, where pertinent, distribute information about upcoming elections. 

Specific activities involved in planning an information drive include:

• Register to participate in the event.

• Print needed materials.

• Recruit volunteers to assist at the event.

• Set up and take down space before and after the event.

• Forward information collected on Interest Sheets to Member Services.
