The board is using the results from the LWV Falls Church program planning meeting held on January 11, 2026, as the basis for our League's events and activities for 2026. Planning included input received from breakout discussion groups that covered civic education, state issue groups, voter services, and engaging young voters.

Leverage local America 250 events to provide civic education, partnering with such organizations as the public library and neighboring Leagues.
Offer programs on Virginia and local government; voting and voter turnout and how we know our elections are free and fair; foundations of democracy and its sustainability; and social movements, including women's suffrage, and how these movements are sustained.
Understand the issues of importance to young voters, such as the environment and LGBTQ rights.
Work with social media, the PTA, and school announcements to share information about League activities and involve students in engaging their peers in voting rights and registration.
Provide additional voter registration opportunities at key school events, such as Homecoming weekend.
Encourage students to form a "Mustang Voters" club at the high school and provide support from LWV Falls Church; offer service hours to students interested in helping with League activities.
Reach out to local universities to ensure students have absentee voting information; offer fun, social, interactive activities for young people aged 21+.
Post QR codes to voters' guides at grocery stores, coffee shops, the Falls Church Community Center, and local business bulletin boards.
Include QR code to VOTE411.org in New Resident Voting Information pamphlets.
Provide multifamily building managers with digital copies of New Resident Voting Information pamphlets.
Distribute digital copies of voter information on Next Door and various local online sites and forums.
